ElectraSol Occupational Health, Safety & Welfare Standards
ElectraSol is committed to the provision of a safe and healthy workplace and working conditions for all its employees, apprentices, sub contractors, suppliers, the public and others associated with our business. Our objectives are to:
- prevent all work related injury and illness
- promote a culture where harm to people through work is unacceptable and at no time should the pressures of work come before health, safety and welfare (OHS&W).
ElectraSol will strive to achieve the highest standard of health & safety by complying with all legislative requirements and through the continuous improvement of our OHS&W performance.
We will achieve this through active consultation, communication and involvement of the workforce and others, and with a proactive hazard management approach involving the identification, assessment and control of all hazards.
We will regularly review our performance against set OHS&W objectives. Our OHS&W system integrates with our Injury and Environmental Management systems.
All employees have responsibilities for OHS&W with respect to their position:
- Ultimate responsibility for OHS&W rests with the General Manager (Responsible Officer as nominated under s61 OHS&W Act)
- Responsibility for the development, implementation and improvement of the management system rests with the OHS Manager
- Responsibility to ensure policy, procedures and practices are in acted into the workplace rests with Managers, Project Managers and Supervisors
- Responsibility for following all policies and procedures rests with every person employed or engaged.
In the event of an injury or illness, we are also committed to helping individuals achieve full recovery as soon as possible through prompt and appropriate intervention and rehabilitation.
